We are currently seeking an experienced Management Accountant to be based at the Head Office in Camberley.
Job Summary - To support the Group Financial Controller in preparing Group management pack with detailed variance commentaries. Prepare and support on budget/forecast/cash flows and assist with Year End Audit.
Responsibilities include:
* Prepare Group consolidated Management pack inclusive of P&L, Balance sheet, Cashflow and Forecast with detailed commentaries on variances.
* Prepare 12 months rolling forecast each month with detailed commentary on movements.
* Review the Short term Cash flow on a weekly basis.
* Ensure all Balance Sheet reconciliations are done on monthly basis for all companies in the Group.
* Sign off and manage all statutory returns e.g VAT returns, Company annual returns.
* Assist Group Financial Controller with Year-end Audits. Liaise with Auditors to ensure smooth and timely completion.
* Manage HMRC audits and queries.
* Assist with Ad Hoc finance requests.
* Assist in documenting policies to ensure company stakeholders follow the financial guidelines.
* Assist in Process improvement within the company by streamlining processes and reducing duplication.
* Assist in integrating newly acquired Depots or Companies.
* Oversee the work of the Finance Assistant to ensure proper review and compliance.
* Drive individual and team performance improvement and embed culture of continuous improvement.
* Help coach and support the team.
* Review processes and recommend improvements / opportunities to streamline / lead change initiatives.
Person Specification:
* Qualified Accountant with at least 2 years post qualified experience.
* Good oral and written communication skills.
* The ability to work as part of the team and be able to manage direct reports.
* Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
* Sound business knowledge.
* Accuracy and attention to detail.
* Excellent Microsoft office skills particularly Excel.
