- Role: Finance Manager
Location: Colchester
Salary: £45-55k
We are looking for a Finance Manager / Management Account to join our team - Reporting into the CFO;
- Full preparation of management and year-end accounts packs and supporting schedules/reconciliations.
- Working with the commercial team to raise quotes/invoices and track work completion.
- Cash management/forecasting including debt collection, payment run collation etc.
- Management of supplier process including invoice authorisations and payments.
- VAT return submissions and reconciliations.
- Assistance with the year end budget process across the group including P&L, balance sheet, cashflows and KPIs.
- Short-term (13 week) cashflow forecasting/funding management and day-to-day management of the bank and CID facility.
- Leading on operational aspects of budgeting process, consolidation of sales and cost base, co-ordination of budget timetable and preparing budget P&L, balance sheets, cashflows etc.
- Principle point of contact for external auditors and corporate tax advisors including year-end analysis, working paper preparation, statutory disclosures and analysis etc.
- Allocation of project codes.
- Cost management analysis.
- Uploading of purchase invoices to Zahara, posting of credit card and bank transactions and raising of supplier payments.
- Raising of sales invoices, credit control and debt reporting.
- Full monthly suite of balance sheet reconciliations to audit standard.
Person Specification:
- Qualified ACA/ACCA, audit practice background highly advantageous.
- Excel experience to include pivot tables, charts, IF functions, lookups etc.
- Familiarity with Sage and Zahara advantageous.
- Highly organised with superb attention to detail.
- Flexible - able to juggle tasks and priorities.
- Able to influence non-finance staff and build solid working relationships, especially with commercial and production teams.
- Open, supportive, approachable management style, focussed on developing staff and
driving efficiency and accuracy in financial processes.
