We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role offers hybrid and flexible working arrangements, ensuring a healthy work-life balance. Our office is located in the city centre of Norwich, providing a convenient and vibrant work environment.
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial transactions, and providing excellent service to our diverse client base. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Process invoices, payments, and expenses accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain and reconcile company ledgers and accounts.
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Liaise with clients to resolve any accounting queries and provide excellent customer service.
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Perform general administrative duties as required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
